Monika Unveils New Monika Thermapen® Temperature Monitoring Probe  

Monika, the expert in connecting teams and equipment, has introduced an upgraded version of its handheld temperature monitoring probe.

The sophisticated new ETI-made Monika Thermapen® features an integrated screen to display live temperature readings for single handed operation. Each device features a unique NFC tag which enables a Monika Smart PA device to connect to specific probes when multiple Thermapens® are being used in the same location. It is backed by ETI’s 5-year warranty, available through Monika.

Pairing the Thermapen® with the PA device enables temperature readings to be logged to Monika’s fully auditable central dashboard – eliminating the need for cumbersome paper records. Alternatively, the probes can be used to check a temperature without logging it – for example to see whether food being cooked has yet reached a safe temperature.

The new Monika Thermapens® benefits from a replaceable battery which lasts up to 5 years, meaning there’s no need for a wired charging cradle – providing more placement flexibility and a cleaner kitchen workspace. Select models also include an infrared sensor for instant, no-contact readings to enable instant surface temperature checks to be made prior to taking a between pack or food core temperature sample. Particularly useful in a goods in area.

The new Monika’s Thermapens® are joined by Monika’s new handheld Google Pixel Smart PA device which provides improved connectivity through both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Both elements will be rolled out to new customers, while existing customers will have the option to upgrade or continue using their existing hardware, as all components are fully retrofit compatible. This enables operators to slowly upgrade kit piece-by-piece as required.
