Monika looks to the future with two key appointments

Monika, the experts in connecting equipment and teams to ensure safe temperatures and working methods has made two key appointments as it looks ahead to growth plans for 2022 and beyond. Keith Hopewell joins as Director of Operations, UK & Europe and Fred Munro joins as Systems Manager.

As Director of Operations, UK & Europe Keith will work with the current Monika leadership team of Executive Chairman, Tim Gamble and Managing Director UK & Europe, Lorraine Gamble FIH – to devise and implement annual business plans to drive organisational strategic growth and develop service strategies to improve customer satisfaction and best-in-class service support.

Keith joins Monika after 15 years at Cantel Medical where he headed up the service division across the UK and Europe, managing over 100 engineers and a back-office team of 55 – and brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience. Commenting on his new role with Monika, Keith said: “I am really excited to be joining a forward thinking, market leader like Monika, with exciting plans for the future. My previous experience of working for a service-based organisation, running contracts and managing a field team in a highly regulated industry will serve me well in my new Monika role.

Hopewell added: It’s important for me to be working for an organisation that makes a positive difference and that is certainly the case with Monika’s services helping customers manage food safety and hygiene standards. I’m looking forward to meeting as many of our customers as possible to discuss their needs and any ways we can enhance our service offering.” 

As Systems Manager, Fred Munro will be responsible for all on-premise IT systems and cloud services and commented on his new role, saying: “I am excited to have joined Monika at such an interesting time, and as a former chef turned IT specialist, I have a unique appreciation for the Monika platform.  I am hoping that I can use my years of experience in the IT Infrastructure and Cloud Services fields to help Monika achieve their objectives. More recently, I have been fortunate enough to focus on the field IT security services, so with the continued growth of threats to companies around the world, it is my intent to use all of my skills to keep Monika and our customers as safe as possible while using our platform.”
