Monika technology a first for CESABIM system

Building Information Modelling (BIM) is a digital data and illustration programme that is rapidly being embraced by the food service sector ahead of the roll-out of government legislation coming into force in 2016. CESABIM is the central database of manufacturers and importers developed in conjunction with CESA to offer a free, compatible system that anyone can use. In a key announcement, Monika, the industry’s leading provider of total food safety systems, is the first temperature monitoring technology to be specified on the state-of-the-art software.

Rolling out across the UK and Europe from 2016, it is an essential requirement that all public sector, government projects be modelled using BIM software. Designed to reduce construction costs via greater efficiencies and a more comprehensive planning and control process.  The software calculates a building’s total energy consumption and carbon emissions, while the 3-dimensional drawings can also highlight service requirements and any positioning conflicts before issues can occur. The CESABIM software is compatible with all of the most common professional design and illustration programmes making it accessible to professionals throughout the industry.
