Monika technology a first for CESABIM system

March 17th , 2016 by

Building Information Modelling (BIM) is a digital data and illustration programme that is rapidly being embraced by the food service sector ahead of the roll-out of government legislation coming into force in 2016. CESABIM is the central database of manufacturers and importers developed in conjunction with CESA to offer a free, compatible system that anyone can use. In a key announcement, Monika, the industry’s leading provider of total food safety systems, is the first temperature monitoring technology to be specified on the state-of-the-art software.

Rolling out across the UK and Europe from 2016, it is an essential requirement that all public sector, government projects be modelled using BIM software. Designed to reduce construction costs via greater efficiencies and a more comprehensive planning and control process.  The software calculates a building’s total energy consumption and carbon emissions, while the 3-dimensional drawings can also highlight service requirements and any positioning conflicts before issues can occur. For manufacturers, the system stores comprehensive datasheets and training material on individual components and provides a direct link to the manufacture for any help or assistance that may be needed. The CESABIM software is compatible with all of the most common professional design and illustration programmes making it accessible to professionals throughout the industry.

Committed to supporting specifiers and project design teams, Monika has worked closely with the team behind CESABIM to ensure the company’s systems are available to those using the programme. Now available on the software, Monika is the only temperature monitoring technology available to designers and project managers using the illustration programme.

Simon Frost, Managing Director of Monika talks about Monika being included on the CESABIM system:

“With all public sector projects being required to use BIM from 2016, other projects within the food service industry will quickly follow suit. Designed to reduce costs and increase efficiency, we expect the system to become commonplace on all new designs and refurbishment projects over the next few years.

Being specified on the BIM system was an obvious choice for Monika as it provides a platform for project managers and designers to include the very latest in temperature monitoring and total food safety solutions when working on a new project. All aspects of our portfolio are fully supported on the system, complete with full datasheets, specifications and accurate drawings. Allowing the BIM software to work effectively, the addition of the Monika system takes into account the energy usage and the need for a power supply on installation. We are pleased to be the only temperature monitoring system specified on the BIM system.”

Monika’s innovative, yet easy to use solutions are streamlined and cost-effective. Bespoke solutions and tailor-made packages are designed to deliver significant savings and operational efficiencies on across a business.
