New product development underpins further growth at Monika

November 19th , 2018 by

Leading digital food safety and compliance expert Monika has announced a number of key appointments to help its continued growth.

Kate Aston has been appointed as Sales Consultant to concentrate on promoting the company’s exciting MonikaPrime range of new products to dealers, distributors and consultants.

Kate joins the business from MKN where she has worked since 2015. She commented: “With 15 years’ experience within the foodservice industry it’s an exciting time for me to join the team at Monika and be able to broaden my knowledge and experience while working with such a niche product. It’s also exciting for me personally to be part of the new product launch and the team that has been put in place to grow the Monika business.”

The company has also appointed Jeremy Bailey as Sales Executive. Jeremy, who has worked in the catering equipment industry for 22 years joins the business from Brakes. He will focus on key accounts and looking after Monika’s existing clients, introducing them to new upgrade opportunities.

Jeremy said: “The timing was right to step away from manufacturer sales into a more defined market place.  With the new product launch & advanced technology Monika now offers their clients the growth implications are huge, so it is an exciting time to join an unparalleled company.”

Kate and Jeremy join UK Director of Sales Rag Hulait, who has worked at Monika for over twenty years. He said: “I am delighted to expand the team at this key time for the business and look forward to working with them.”

MonikaPrime is a complete, modular food safety and compliance management system that harnesses the benefits of mobile technology for multiple users. Ensuring HACCP compliance with no paperwork, the Team Management component can dramatically reduce staff time spent on manual checks thanks to the Smart PA – a rugged android device that’s Biocote-treated for hygiene.

The second module – Equipment Management – monitors refrigeration and other units to keep food safe, save energy and identify failing units that can be fixed to avoid costly downtime.

With Monika’s sophisticated system, a company can even integrate its corporate policy manual to bring branding guidelines, health and safety – and any other accreditations and regulations they work to – into one place – to gain valuable efficiencies and keep important policies easily accessible to staff.

And, using the Enterprise Management software, the data gathered by the system provides a comprehensive overview of performance across single or multiple sites, and can be grouped by region up to organisational level.

To support Monika’s growing customer base, the company are also recruiting for a number of field service engineers.
